Self amalgamating tape can be used to repair and protect against corrosion on hose and plastic and metal tubes

Main features:

• Very good electrical and physical properties tape amalgamates quickly when applied under tension providing a void-free homogeneous wrapping without external heat
• Highly resistant to prolonged immersion in water and has a very good resistance to ozone

Applications:

• Strip back interleaving and stretch tape to reduce its width by one third to keep tape under tension and wrap over lapping successive layers by about 50%
• Finish wrapping by holding tape and snap by stretching
• High degree of stretching will prevent the inclusions of void and ensure a rapid self-amalgamation

Durability:

• Life of tape exposed out of doors is expected to be several years
• If tape will be subjected to abrasion an external covering by soft PVC tape is recommended
